Interestingly enough, Craig, Mtz Jr. High has taken the 6th grade classes and moved them away from the 7th and 8th grades due to maturity differences and all that goes with that.
John Muir site is technically its own historic district, but we have tried to create a historic district of proximal building listed on the registers and all listings, nominations, and reports thrown out or ignored by city and historic society until this general plan--caveat that the Martinez Historical Society continues to promulgate an outdated and academically unsound inventory to please certain folks. Also, because of the Alhambra Open Space, Thousand Friends would be sure to politic against any Mills Act which gives property tax relief (vs. the bond for Alh Hills) if residential or commercial owners voted to be part of a district.
