Thank you for the info! The link to the City website with the candidate statements was a great start --- so much info is actually available there, when you take the time to read it. Thanks for sharing!
A question for the candidates: Sacramento politicians’ answer to the “housing crisis” has been to pass laws overriding local zoning ordinances related to lot density, building heights and parking requirements ... often eliminating the public hearing process and taking the power to vote projects up-or-down out of the hands of the City Council. Do you believe that the “housing crisis” justifies denying the City Council, and the constituents they represent, control over local development?
(And for Jay Howard, in particular ... Do you feel your support of AB 2011 serves the best interests of the voters of District 1?)

PS
Craig, you might want to edit title to this year.
I been on a long time but that would be a really long time!
Thank you, Councilman Ross. You have a future in copy editing when your public service career ends!
Thank you for the tips, Craig. Definitely interested in where the campaign funds are coming from and how their donors align with my values.

Very well done Craig- as incisive a primer on public engagement I’ve seen in a very long time.
The residents of Martinez deserve more information than is currently available.
