While there are plenty of challenges in our city, there are also plenty of reasons to be grateful this Thanksgiving. Here's a few from my list; what's on yours?
I love being able to safely ride my E-bike around town but more especially down to the Marina and over the Benicia Bridge. Also, I am so looking forward to seeing how the MARINA is improved. And what about our new Pickleball courts! A lot of us are pretty excited about that. And I appreciate this column and the way you keep us informed Craig!
Craig, I agree that this council is more cohesive than I have ever witnessed in my 48.5 years of living here. I remember when the marina was marshland so to see it being upgraded is a welcomed sight.
Our short staffed police force work long hours. And yet, they remain active and vigilant, while also cheerful and friendly. They are all doing a great job, including Chief White who I often see working patrol, even at night.
I'm Thankful for all of them, as they keep us safe, while remaining respectful of our diverse downtown residents.
