Congratulations to Satinder Mahli, who has just been appointed by the council to fill the District 3 vacancy. He was the unanimous choice for the vacancy among the four council members. Congratulations also to Logan Campbell, who was the runner-up. I'll have a post on this later in the week.
Conflict of interest is about money and business relations not who you supported on the council unless you are paid. Hope this is clarified. And are realtors and lawyers a good choice.
Thank you Craig. Great (almost overwhelming) information here. I do wish you'd break these posts up by subject so related comments don't get lost in the jumble. After looking at the candidates, I'd be really surprised if the final decision doesn't come down to a choice between Satinder and Logan. Satinder has an impressive resume and has "done the time" with the City, serving on the PRMCC, ARDPIE, and Measure D committees. Logan was a prominent supporter of both the Zorn and Howard campaigns. Of course, someone else might really wow the Council with their answers to questions and demeanor. It will be fun to watch.

Oh and I’m happy you took the time to address the importance of CPR personnel and equipment in our schools.
