Thank you for doing all this research and laying it out in such an easily readable newsletter! I wish I could vote for Yasmin (I must not be in her district).
You make no mention of Marcy LeBoeuf’s 25+ years working for Children & Family Services as a social worker; given such don’t you think she’d have a pulse on inequity, inclusion & the struggles kids & families face?
She made no mention of it in our ballot statement. If she didn't see a need to include, I didn't in the writeup. I've worked in the foster care system myself as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, so I know well the issues these families face, particularly ones from broken and impoverished backgrounds that have been exacerbated by the legacy of systemic racism in our society, which makes her choice of political contributions all the more puzzling to me.
When I ran for school board in 2018, I listed my role as a CASA in the foster care system trying to help disadvantaged youths from disadvantaged backgrounds prominently in my ballot statement.
I would agree that supposed voting choice is odd given what she did for work; are you positive your correct? Yet I have to say when it came to advocating for families, meeting them where they were at, dealing with some very tough situations, she was all about what was best for the kids, their families & keeping families intact whenever possible.

The campaign contributions (including the two made two days after the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol) came directly from the Federal Elections Commission website. They've been discussed widely in the community for weeks, and no one that I know of has disputed that she made them.
