Cooling centers open during latest heatwave
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the Bay Area, including Martinez, as a result of the current heat wave. Current predicted weather for Martinez shows daily highs above 95 degrees throughout the week.
During high temperatures, residents should avoid heavy activity direct sunlight. Stay hydrated, find a cool indoor place, and check on children, elderly and pets.
