The long-awaited renovation of Martinez’s iconic fishing pier, a symbol of the community’s rich history, is underway.
City officials “broke ground” on the $3.1 million project Nov. 7 as work started on the blocked-off portion of the pier that for decades has beckoned visitors to enjoy strolling out to its end.
Timetable for the completion of the Martinez Fishing Pier Renovation Project is spring 2025.
